5 ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH FRIENDS OR A DATE

We are often used to the classical "grabbing a bite" followed by a movie and a ride back home, however there are so many different alternatives that can be done in any city and that can be found anywhere. It is after all more casual with friends than a first date, however there are much more stimulating things to do with them such as the one I will suggest down below...

1. Mini putting

Mini putting is one of the activities I love doing with my little sister and thought it'd be a nice one to do with friends or a potential significant other. It's fun, because it brings the same vibe as bowling but it is very different to the activities that can be perceived as "normal". It's a mini version of golf but way better and way more fun. Plus you have the twist of going mini putting at night, where you have the glow in the dark courses.

2. Cine park - Drive-in Cinema

Feeling old school at a Drive-in Cinema

This is a great alternative to the classic movie theatre since it does imply going to watch a movie, however it makes it all the most much more romantic or more casually fun than being in a room with bunch of strangers and sitting in the dark for 1h30, not being able to talk, check your phone or interact with your date. Going to the cine park is a nice outing because you get to plan your activity by preparing little snacks, making sure you have enough blankets, enough pillows and won't be missing anything. With friends you get to go in a group and gather all together, enjoy the movie and chill afterwards. With a date you get to cuddle in the blankets, also enjoy the movie and eventually hang out some more after the movie.

3. Picnic

I love myself a good home cooked meal and so anything food related hits my soft spot. Why having a picnic is a very nice activity? It's because you get to prepare it with your group or with your date. When it's with your friends, you can decide beforehand who brings what or who prepares what, then you can all meet up at someone's place or directly meet at the picnic spot which will usually be a nice park. A picnic is way more intimate and requires you to be resourceful and attentive to other's need and preferences by preparing the food and getting the drinks. It also allows you to bond in a different way, because you get to talk and not really be distracted by other things

4. Arcade

I have personally never been to an arcade place, however I have played games that can be found there at movie theatres and at amusement parks and I have enjoyed myself very much. The vibe is very fun and very festive in those places, it feels like you're going back in childhood. What is better than staying in and play on video game console is the authenticity of the arcade games, the vintage look to it all, the games you get to play at and the fact that you go out and have to get there instead of lazying inside.

5. Bowling

Will it be a spare...? A strike...? Or none of those?

Bowling is probably a timeless activity, it will always be a classic game to play when you have time on your hands, not a lot of money and wanting to have a good time. You can play one against the other if it is a date, or if you go out with a group it can be girls versus boys, it can be half of the group against the other half
